My work is emotionally visceral, and concentrated on color and motion. It expresses a unique sense of life and energy by utilizing color, light and surface. My new large-scale work is on colored gessoed grounds, with a much greater level of impasto than in previous works. The new smaller canvases are thickly painted, chiefly concerned with surface and are three-dimensional in nature.
Other works tend to not so much be a commentary- but a reflection of locations, ideas, events and the happenings of the world, past and current. I am interested in how form, color and texture can conjure subliminal thought in very mysterious ways- ways in which realism cannot.
