Molly Magai was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, where she learned to appreciate the beauty of the industrial landscape. She studied painting at Bennington College and subsequently lived in New York City from 1985 to 1990, where she attended the Empire State College (SUNY) Studio Semester in New York. A Seattle resident since 1992, she has exhibited in many Seattle venues including the Centennial Center Gallery, Gallery 110, and the Washington State Convention Center. In 2008 she participated in Artist Trust’s Edge Professional Development program. This spring she will be a juror for the Kent Summer Art Exhibition in Kent, Washington, and an artist in residence at the Icicle Creek Center for the Arts in Leavenworth, Washington.
